A graduate of Sylvania Northview High School, Dr. Khan’s decision to return to Toledo was both personal and professional. After nearly 2 decades away, he and his wife saw the opportunity to raise their children close to family while giving back to the community that raised him. He recalls childhood days spent in West Toledo and Sylvania—playing in open parks, visiting downtown museums, and enjoying local favorites like Tony Packo’s. Now, he’s creating similar memories with his own children, often enjoying family outings at local Metroparks and stopping for post-hike ice cream at Handel’s.
Practicing in Toledo has given Dr. Khan a unique sense of purpose. “It’s an honor and a privilege to serve the community I grew up in,” he says. “I find myself reminiscing with patients about shared experiences from our youth, and that connection adds a layer of joy to my work that’s hard to describe.”

Dr. Khan’s training and career have taken him to respected institutions across the Midwest and Northeast. He completed his general surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital, followed by a hand surgery fellowship at SUNY Buffalo and a plastic surgery residency at Wayne State University, where he served as academic chief resident.
In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, contributing to the training and education of surgical residents.
Throughout his career, he has held hospital leadership roles, served as a clinical instructor, and contributed to peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations. His work in burn care, craniofacial surgery, hand trauma, and soft tissue reconstruction reflects both depth and versatility.
Whether performing complex reconstructive surgery or elegant cosmetic enhancements, Dr. Khan brings the same level of empathy and precision to every patient encounter.
